Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. She survived on a student salary and part-time work to supplement her budget. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents weren't as good as those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. However, she left before the band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. From 1977 to 1980 she served as the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop band. She met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her first solo album Diva and it was released around 1992. The album had a tremendous success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo, released in October 2014 was Nostalgia Lennox. This C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The collection consisting of four tracks that were improvised. The E.P. The album is a companion to her album Now I Let it go... artwork that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut self-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on the 25th of December 1954. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox as well as Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to achieve international fame in 1980s as the Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 with the release of Diva, which featured a number of successful songs such as Why and the song Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa is a studio album that features the cover versions of some popular tracks like No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale.
